Jen Pros was a school counselor at Rutland High School from 2013-2016 and rejoined the team in 2018. Prior to moving to Rutland, she was a high school guidance counselor in New York from 2000-2013. Jen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Master’s Degree in School Counseling and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling from the State University of New York College at Oneonta where she also played soccer. Kelton Myers has been working as a school counselor at Rutland High School since 2010. She grew up in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, where she graduated from Hazen Union High School in Hardwick. After that, she lived in Boston for six years where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development/German Studies at Boston College, and her Master’s Degree in School Counseling at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Kelton is very happy to be living in Vermont again with her husband, their two kids, and their two chubby cats. Amy Conn has been working as a school counselor at Rutland High School since 2011. Previously she work at Stafford Technical Center for two years. She spent most of her life in Wisconsin and moved to Vermont over ten years ago. It is home now, but she still loves the Badgers and brats. She has a bachelor’s degree from Saint Leo University and received her masters of education with certificate in advanced study in school counseling from the State University of New York – Plattsburgh. Meghan Carroccia joined the Rutland High School staff as a school counselor in July 2017 and is also a RHS graduate. Meghan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and Biology with a minor in Marine Biology from Roger Williams University. After completing her undergraduate studies, Meghan taught middle school science for seven years. Six of these years were completed at Rutland Middle School. While teaching Meghan returned to school and earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the College of Saint Joseph. In her free time Meghan enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her son, and traveling to the ocean as much as possible. Lesley Copans joined the Rutland High School staff as a school counselor in 2019 and is also an RHS graduate. Lesley earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Ithaca College, and she went on to teach band and choir for three years. She earned a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in School Counseling from the University of Virginia and worked as a high school counselor in Virginia. She is excited to return to high school counseling after working at Temple University as an academic advisor and admissions counselor. Nancy Ivey is our school social worker/counselor who works more with students who are dealing with personal/social/familial issues rather than guidance issues. She is a liaison to community resources and agencies, and runs small support groups as well as individual counseling sessions. She has a BA in Sociology from Wittenberg University and an MSW from Salem State College. She is a Licensed Social Worker and has worked for the Rutland City Schools for 17 years. She also works for the District’s Tapestry afterschool and summer program at Proctor Elementary. She and her husband have 2 children and enjoy traveling,

Stacy Shortle has been a School Psychologist since 1997. She has been with Rutland City Public Schools since 2012. Stacy was born and raised in Rutland. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Vermont; Masters in School Psychology at Northeastern University; and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at the University of Sarasota. Stacy conducts evaluations of students’ learning and social emotional needs; consults with teams of teachers to support student success in school; and works with individual students and families. Stacy also teaches undergraduate and graduate classes at the Community College of Vermont and Castleton University. She lives in Rutland with her husband and two children and loves spending time traveling with her family and engaging in outdoor recreation activities. Stacy is also a 2020 Rowland Fellow.
Carolyn Babbitt is a 1988 graduate from St. Michael’s College in Winooski, Vermont with a BS in Business Administration. After an 8 year career in Banking, she joined Rutland City Public Schools as the secretary to the Athletic Department, which gave her more time to spend with her sons both Rutland High School graduates. She became the Registrar of Rutland City Public Schools in January of 2014. She is a Rutland native, and resides in Rutland with her husband.
