Ninth, tenth and eleventh graders completing the Global Studies endorsement: You need to meet with your community service adviser before YES Plan starts and the end of the school year. If you do not know who your adviser is, please come see Ms. Myers in the school counseling office.
Freshmen: The Sophomore Summit is an annual career planning event that will take place this fall on Thursday, October 4, 2018. All tenth graders in Rutland County attend this great day of workshops. Registration for workshops will open this Monday, May 21. Please check your school email address this week for important information about how to register for the workshops of your choice on Monday, May 21! If you have questions about this event, please come to the school counseling office.
The SHH will be hosting the Student vs. Faculty game at the RHS GYM this Thursday 05/17 Beginning at 4:45pm !!. This is a free event please come out to support the Great event! This will be a lot of FUN!! ALL SHH members must be in attendance as this is our last meeting for the YEAR!

Please hand in your fee for the class on Friday May 18th, to Mrs. Badgley in the front office. She will be able to provide you with a receipt.

-Important announcement for all students in Exploring the Historical Landscapes of Vermont, otherwise known as Day Hikes. We will have a mandatory meeting in FLEX block on Thursday, May 17 in Red 16. Permission forms will be distributed. Students who do not have these forms completed and signed for the first day of YES plan will receive an unexcused absence. If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Ms. Geisler, Ms. Mahar, Mr. Tuerk or Mr. French for the paperwork.
-The meeting for Culture Kitchen (Mr. Aday’s and Ms. Gartner’s YES Plan) will be during Flex on Tuesday, May 22. We will be going over some basic information about our field trips, the course and handing out permissions slips. Please see Mr. Aday or Ms. Gartner if you are unable to attend.
-If you are in Mrs. Beal’s YES PLAN, come to her room and get information for the class
-ATTENTION ALL SCHOOL TO WORK YES PLAN STUDENTS:
1. Make sure you have handed in your learning plan and learning agreement to Mrs. Renfrow. This is due now.
2. On the first day of YES Plan, June 6th, there will be a mandatory orientation meeting for all students (except lifeguarding and students working at hospital) in the lecture hall from 8 to 9:30 am. After the orientation meeting, you will go to your placements.
3. Students doing their YES Plan at the Rutland Regional Medical Center will have a mandatory orientation at the hospital on June 6th from 8am to 10am.
Mrs. Renfrow needs to see the following people regarding STW before Friday regarding school to work:
On May 17 and 18 Juniors will take part in the Vermont Science Assessment. You will need earbuds and headphones for the test. Please bring them if you have them or inform your test proctor or Mrs. McKeen if you cannot bring them and we will secure a pair for you.

The next Project Graduation meeting is today, Wednesday, May 16 at 6 pm in Red 11. We hope all senior parents can attend.
Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum is looking for volunteers to help at Rutland Regional Medical Center on Friday, June 1st for a planting event. Visual Arts will be on display in the Library and RHS hallways.
At 6:30, the Unpredictables will sing in the Library, followed by singer/guitarist Nikki Adams.
Encore Theatre will perform at 7:00, Orchestra Concert at 7:45, and Choral Concert at 8:30, all in the Theater. Free and open to the public. Come support the Arts!
The RHS Music Department will present the Spring Band Concert on Monday night 5/21 at 7 pm in the RHS Gym. Come check out some great music by the Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band and Symphonic Band and special guests – Mr. Olsen, Mr. Peterson, Mrs. Reed, Mr. Sampson, and Mr. Schillinger!

CAP & GOWN Distribution will be this Friday, May 18 outside the cafeteria during the lunch periods. Cost is $22 on Friday either cash or a check made payable to BALFOUR Co. If you cannot pick up your Cap & Gown, they will be available in the Main Office for $24.00 after
May 18th. Also, if you have not yet completed the SENIOR INFORMATION SURVEY for your Guidance Counselor, you will be asked to do so when you pick up your cap and gown.
There are no yearbooks left to preorder. If you still want a yearbook, you will need to purchase one from any possible leftovers when they come in. Seniors will be given first priority.
