Celebrate Red Cross Month by registering to donate blood! On Friday March 2 Student Senate will be hosting the second blood drive of the year. Register to give the gift of life — if you are 16 years of age or older and in good health, you may be eligible to donate. Sign up during lunch or see Mrs. Haskell in White 15.

Governor’s Institutes of Vermont online applications will open on February 1st. Are you interested fun and accelerated learning residencies on college campuses? Then GIV is perfect for you. This summer’s institutes are the following: architecture, design and build, arts, Asian cultures, astronomy, current issues and youth activism, engineering, entrepreneurship, environmental science and technology, health and medicine (new), informational technology and digital media, mathematical sciences and young writers. YES Plan School-to-Work Proposals: Any student who wishes to participate in the School-to-Work YES Plan this year, needs to see Mrs. Renfrow in White 16 to pick up their STW Proposal form as soon as possible
Attention Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors- Mrs. Archer is offering a quarter course – Theatre for Social Action- this class will choose an issue, develop a play around this issue, build sets, costumes, rehearse the play and take it on the road! This is a global studies elective.
Executive Board and Environmental Club are partnering and SELLING REUSABLE WATER BOTTLES with RHS logos on them for $12. The purpose of these water bottles is to eliminate waste from plastic water bottles that get thrown away! They are available in front of the cafeteria during lunches, where you can purchase and pick them up.
Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Mr. McDonough is offering a special English course next year on Shakespeare and Politics. We’ll look at how Shakespeare’s plays deal with the same issues of race, gender, religion, and justice that we deal with today. Plenty of classroom reading and discussion, and no major essays! If you are interested in learning more about the State-Wide Public School Choice Program, please contact the Guidance Office at your school of residence for more information. The deadline for registration for School Choice at that particular guidance office is Thursday, March 1, 2018 by 4:00 pm.

Vermont Technical College is offering several summer camp for several different age groups as well as classes. Stop by the Guidance Office for the specific details on an Entrepreneurship Institute for grades 10-12, Rosie’s Girls STEM Leadership Camp & Mentorship Program for grades 9 and 10 and Coder Camp for Girls ages 11-17.
