The senior ice cream party has been rescheduled for Thursday the 29th during FLEX.
Club giving is adopting a family and would love help with donations! It is a single mother with 3 boys. If you would like to donate either toys, clothing, or money, then the boxes will be located in white 12. The sooner the better to bring in items! Introduction to College & Careers will be offered through CCV at Rutland High School beginning at the end of January on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 5:00. This course provides high school students with the opportunity to explore the college experience within the context of their future goals. Students will focus on career & work interests, communication, financial literacy, academic & professional success skills, college & employment. Students who successfully complete the course will be eligible for a .5 elective credit on their RHS transcript.

The Sophomore class of 2021 is selling Raider sweatshirts and sweatpants just in time for the holidays! There is only one style for sweatshirts but the sweatpants can be ordered with an open bottom or with an elastic cuff bottom. –Bonjour! If you are interested in French language, culture or just the food, la Societe Francaise (French Society) is the club for you! The American Legion Law Cadet Training Program at the Vermont Police Academy,
Pittsford, VT. The purpose of the Cadet Training Program is to expose young people to all facets of the criminal justice system and the knowledge regarding training and responsibilities of Law Enforcement Officers. The instructors are from Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement Agencies. The program is limited to 26 ages 14 and up. Sponsorship is needed via an American Legion Post. Incoming Freshman Information Night – Class of 2023- Save the Date of Thursday, January 10 from 6 to 8pm. Small group presentations on academic programs, ninth grade registration planning, extra-curricular opportunities and tours of the building. This information night is a perfect opportunity to see what Rutland High School has to offer. Actual student registration for the Class of 2023 will take place during the spring at individual Rutland County school locations.

Juniors ONLY: Scholarship Opportunity; The President Calvin Coolidge Scholarship is now available to apply for. Go to: www.coolidgescholars.org for the application and details pertaining to it. Scholars are selected based on academic excellence, an interest in public policy and an appreciation for and understanding of the values Pres. Coolidge championed, as well as humility and service. The top 100 applicants are invited to a weekend in Washington, D. C. (all expenses paid and a one time $1,000 scholarship). Applicants who make it to the finalist level, but do not ultimately win the full scholarship, receive a one-time finalist scholarship of $5,000. Applications due January 23, 2019.
