Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Mr. McDonough is offering a special English course next year on Shakespeare and Politics. We’ll look at how Shakespeare’s plays deal with the same issues of race, gender, religion, and justice that we deal with today. Plenty of classroom reading and discussion, and no major essays! See guidance to sign up!
Cold and flu season have arrived. The best way to stay healthy is to wash your hands often and well with plenty of soap and water. If soap and water isn’t available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer. Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing, before preparing or eating food, and after using the restroom. Illnesses spread when germs from your hands enter your body through your eyes, nose, and mouth. Germs can be found on objects that are touched frequently, and germs can be inhaled when someone who is ill talks, coughs, or sneezes. To keep illness from spreading in school, stay home when you have a fever or gastrointestinal illness, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve, and wash your hands often and well. Here’s to a healthy year in 2018!
