Associate Principal Bianca McKeen
Bianca McKeen returned to Rutland City Public Schools in 2020, originally beginning with the district in 2005. At Rutland High School, she is primarily responsible for issues related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Bianca served as the principal at Barstow Memorial School from 2018-2020. She previously served as a science teacher at both Rutland Middle School and Rutland High School until 2018. While teaching for RCPS, Bianca was named as a 2016 Rowland Fellow, 2017 University of Vermont Outstanding Teacher, and 2012 Vermont Academy of Science and Engineering Science Teacher of the Year. Bianca has taught Kindergarten through 12th grade as well as served as a professor for graduate level education courses. Bianca has a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts and Secondary Education from Castleton University and a Master’s degree in Education from the College of St. Joseph as well as extensive advanced course work in Educational Leadership. Bianca is a Rutland High School graduate and resides in Rutland with her two children and husband.
Principal Greg Schillinger
Greg Schillinger joined the administrative team at Rutland High School in 2014. Prior to his arrival, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in English and Secondary Education from The Catholic University of America and his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Castleton State. He started his teaching career as a volunteer teacher in Spanish Harlem and then on to schools in Hawaii and Vermont. His longest stint was seventeen years at Woodstock Union HS where he served as English teacher, Associate Principal, and then Principal. He is a long-time resident of Rutland and when he’s not at school he is driving one of his four children to an athletic event.
Associate Principal Steve Sampson
Steve Sampson has worked at Rutland High School since 1994 when the Stratton Road campus first opened. Prior to becoming an Associate Principal, he served as a Guidance Counselor for nine years and as Director of Guidance for eight. Throughout his career Steve has been actively involved in various school-based and district-wide initiatives. He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from American International College in Springfield, MA and a Master’s degree from Keene State College. He has also completed extensive coursework in Educational Leadership at Castleton State College.
Jennifer Wigmore, Associate Principal
Jennifer Wigmore joined the Rutland City Public Schools in 2008 as a school guidance counselor. She spent her last five years in the department as the Director of Guidance. Prior to becoming a counselor, she taught at the elementary and middle school levels. Jen has a Master of Arts degree in teaching as well as extensive advanced course work in Educational Administration, Special Education and Counseling from Castleton University and Southern New Hampshire University. She earned an undergraduate degree in business from The University of New Hampshire. The primary responsibilities for Jennifer will be all aspects of Special Education and related support services. She is a long time resident of Rutland City and with her husband Tim have raised four boys, all graduates of Rutland High School.
