Bill Olsen became Principal at Rutland High School in 2009. He taught social studies for sixteen years in Austria, Connecticut, Barstow Memorial School and Rutland High School. He was the Assistant Principal at Rutland Middle School for four years. He has a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Administration from Castleton State College, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Boston College, and a Bachelors of Arts from Holy Cross College.

Steve Sampson has worked at Rutland High School since 1994 when the Stratton Road campus first opened. He served as a guidance counselor for nine years and as Director of Guidance for eight. During his seventeen year career Steve has been actively involved in various school-based and district-wide initiatives. He earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from American International College in Springfield, MA and a Masters degree from Keene State College. He has also completed extensive coursework in Educational Leadership at Castleton State College.

Pamela Reed is a Rutland, Vermont native. She received a Bachelor’s degree from College of Saint Joseph and a Master’s in Education from Castleton State College. While earning her Bachelor’s degree and during her early years as an educator, she worked for Rutland Mental Health. In the 1990s, she was a special education teacher and classroom teacher at Shrewsbury Mountain School and Rutland’s Northwest Primary School. Prior to joining Rutland High School in 2010, Mrs. Reed was the Director of Student Services for Rutland Central Supervisory Union for seven years. In 2009 she was honored by her peers as the Special Education Administrator of the Year. She has supervised student teachers and currently serves as a mentor for aspiring administrators. Her responsibilities at Rutland High School include the support services programs for students, supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff and general administrative duties.

Glenn Olson was born in Winchester, Massachusetts and is a 1983 graduate of Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. After graduation he moved to Swanton, Vermont where he taught at Missisquoi Valley Union High School for 5 years before moving to Rutland in 1988. He began his career at Rutland High School in 1988 teaching physical education and coaching varsity ice hockey. Glenn has served as the Assistant Athletic Director for two years, Athletic/Activities Director for 11 years and is in his 10th year as an Associate Principal. Glenn’s primary responsibilities focus on curriculum, instruction, assessment, and scheduling.
