Tri-M Open Mic Night

Rutland High School’s chapter of Tri-M Music Honor Society hosted an Open Mic Night on April 3 to raise funds for victims of the Haiti earthquake. The event was a huge success as Tri-M raised over $900 . Congratulations!

All proceeds will be sent to Oxfam’s Haiti relief effort to provide clean water to victims of the earthquake. Read more »

RHS Alpine Skiers Win State Championships

The Rutland High School Alpine Ski Team capped off an impressive season on March 4, 2010 by winning the Girls’ State Championships. This win was extremely exciting due to the fact that the boys’ team won their state championship the preceding Monday at Sugarbush Mountain. This is the first time since 2001 the boys have won the state championship. On the other hand, this states win for the girls was their fourth straight. Read more »

Classroom Spotlight: Civics and Economics

In the RHS senior class Civics and Economics, students are studying the Law of Diminishing Returns. The concept refers to the notion that as more unit of input is added to a production line, productivity increases up to a point. At some point though, the change in output generated by one more unit of input declines. Read more »
