On February 2, 2012, pianist Charlie Albright presented a brief Master Class and performance for the Music students of RHS. The award-winning performer and recording artist came to Rutland as part of the “Passages at the Paramount” series. After coaching student Jenna Wang’s interpretation of Beethoven, Mr. Albright displayed his dazzling technique at the keyboard with several short pieces, including two of the virtuosic Chopin “Etudes.” The personable 23-year-old spoke informally with the students, answered questions, and shared his thoughts related to practice, performance, and working as a traveling artist.
