GUIDANCE:

From the Guidance Dept:

Seniors:  Stop by the Guidance Office before the February Break and check out the Scholarships that are currently available.  Most have application deadlines of  April 1^st  or April 30th.  Now is the time to get working on these applications before you all have Spring Fever!

New Scholarships this week are:

Peter Carini Science Award, the Town of Rutland Scholarship, Marble Valley Lions Club, Rutland Area Christian School-Kelly Scholarship and the Currier Memorial School Scholarship.

Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen:  All should stop by the tables outside the cafeteria this week and pick up your Academic Course Booklet for next year. 

JUNIORS are asked to start making their appointments with their counselors for the weeks of February 29 through March 9^th.

SOPHOMORES:  You may make appointments for the weeks of March 12 to March 23.

FRESHMEN:  You may make appointments for the weeks of March 26 to April 6.

Good news – the library printer is up and running.  Thank you for your patience.

Shannon Rollins, Macy Fitzgerald, Brad Leonard and Alicia Hill – your books are in and held for you at the circulation desk.   Dan Eugair to the Information Center, please.

Stop by the Information Center by Friday and pick up some books or magazines to read over vacation.  Traveling during the February break?  The Information Center has a number of new updated travel guides on display and available for loan.  Wishing you a great vacation, from the Information Center.

Varsity and JV Girls Basketball will host Mt. Anthony tonight.  JV at 6:00pm and Varsity at 7:30pm.

Saturday, February 18^th

JV Wrestling at Spaulding for the State Championships.

Girls JV White and Freshman Boys Basketball at Mt. Abraham.  Girls at 10:00am and Boys at 11:30am.  Bus leaves at 8:15am.

Varsity Boys Ice Hockey at South Burlington at 6:30pm.  Bus leaves at 3:00pm.

Varsity Girls Ice Hockey at Northfield at Kreitzburg Arena.  Bus leaves at 4:00pm.

Monday, February 20^th

Varsity Boys Ice Hockey at Essex at 2:15pm.  Bus leaves at 11:00am.

9^th Grade Boys Basketball hosting St. Johnsbury at 4:00pm. at RHS Gym.

Varsity and JV Girls Basketball at Burr and Burton.  JV at 6:00pm and Varsity at 7:30pm.  Bus leaves at 4:30pm.

There will be no open gym for softball until after the February Break. Open gym will resume on Tuesday night February 28^th.

ATTENTION SPRING ATHLETES AND PARENTS – the Spring Sports Sign up night will be on February 29^th at 6:30pm in the RHS Gym.  If you need to check to see if you physical is up to date please stop by the athletic office.

 Clubs:

Attention students and families: The RHS Key Club is looking for donations for the annual Prince and Princess for a Night Project. We REALLY need all types of prom, holiday, and other fancy dresses. So please help us out! You can also donate shoes, purses, unopened make up, ties, and anything else that is fancy! If you donate a dress and decide to buy a dress at the sale you get $5.00 off any dress that you buy. You can bring your donations to Mrs. Hier or Mrs. McGurl. There’s also a Facebook page called Princess (& Prince) for a Night Project II that has more information. The sale will be held on Saturday, March 1o from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Rutland High School Cafeteria.

Attention Club Giving: Members who provided baked goods for the bake sale last week PLEASE pick up your containers in Ms. Herlihy’s office or they will become new additions to her kitchen
