Classroom Spotlight: Creative Structure
Creative Structure II students engaged in hands-on learning to develop problem-solving skills, creativity and knowledge of art history. Ms. Wolgamott’s advanced level classes chose an artist from history and researched the time period, biography and work of this artist. A research poster was presented with their findings as well as a completed tea set based on the artist’s work. Flying torpedoes from M.C. Escher’s tessellations, colorful abstract flowers from Georgia O’Keefe’s paintings and Van Gogh’s swirling night skies have all made an appearance.
